As of 1 July 2024, a comprehensive reorganization of Study Service will help ensure that study administration work at Aalborg University (AAU) is best equipped to support the university's degree programmes and students in a time marked by major changes in the world of education. This includes the forthcoming Master’s programme reform and the introduction of a new study administration system.
"As an educational institution, AAU is facing some major changes in the coming years, and this will have a significant impact on Study Service which will have to handle study administration in completely new ways. The reorganization will help equip the department for this," says Søren Lind Christiansen, University Director.
With the new organization, the department will consolidate into three new, specialized teams that will work within the themes: student life, programme digitalization, and programme quality and strategy. The eight existing teams in the department will be disbanded, and a new deputy director and a new management team will be appointed to set the new strategic direction for Study Service at AAU.
Currently, Deputy Director of Aalborg University Library, Maj Rosenstand, is acting Deputy Director of Study Service. The expectation is that the process of finding a new deputy director for the department can launch within the next few months.
