The art association Skråningen is ready with a new exhibition at Kroghstræde 3 on campus in Aalborg East. In April, visual artist Marianne Bastholm Schmidt from Randers will exhibit a number of works.

As an artist, Marianne Bastholm Schmidt explores different techniques and works with both intaglio (collography, etchings and oxidizing in copper) and relief printing (woodcuts and linoleum). Her graphic works often also tell stories about life in an everyday setting and in nature.

"I often paint based on everyday life and the very present. The subject can be a potted plant, things in my kitchen or the wheelbarrow in my garden. For me, the limited palette allows me to take a playful approach and explore the 'elements of everyday life' and thereby express and discover the joy and gratitude for all the wonderful things in the everyday," she says.
