Staff members at Aalborg University have the opportunity to rent a holiday house with the Holiday Houses Rental Service if they have been employed for at least one year and work more than 15 hours per week.

Outside the peak seasons, you may rent the houses when they are available. Either for an extended weekend or an entire week.

On the Holiday Houses Rental Service website you will find a calendar where you can see the houses available for rent. You will also find descriptions of the leases and further practical information.

Below is an overview of the holiday homes:

Tørvevej (Hulsig)

This holiday house is located in Hulsig – just 15 km from Skagen and just 500 metres from the wide sandy beach. The area offers scenic experiences with attractions such as Råbjerg Mile, Sandmilen and Den Tilsandede Kirke right nearby. Skagen also offers a wealth of shopping opportunities, exciting activities and a wide selection of cozy eateries.

The house has three bedrooms, ideal for six overnight guests. In addition, there is both a weekend bed for the little ones and a practical Trip Trap chair, so the whole family can feel at home. In the attached shed, there’s garden furniture, a grill and two bicycles are ready for use - perfect for relaxing days in the sun and little excursions in the area.

In peak season, the house can be rented for one week for DKK 5500 and one night for DKK 1200. 

Off-season, the house can be rented for one week for DKK 3500 and one night for DKK 1000.

Redningsvejen (Løkken)

The house is located only 300 meters from the beautiful sandy beach and just 2 km from Løkken's lively centre where you will find good shopping opportunities, cozy eateries and interesting boutiques. For the adventurous, Action House is located just 1 km north of the city – a popular entertainment centre with bowling, game machines and activities for the whole family. With its quiet location and easy access to both nature and city life, the house is the perfect starting point for a relaxing and eventful holiday.

The house has three bedrooms with a total of six beds – one room with two single beds and two rooms with double beds. For the youngest guests, there

is both a baby cot and a Trip Trap chair. Outdoors you will find garden furniture and a grill - perfect for nice summer evenings under the open sky.

In peak season, the house can be rented for one week for DKK 5500 and one night for DKK 1200.

Off-season, the house can be rented for one week for DKK 3500 and one night for DKK 1000.

Kildekrogen (Blokhus)

The Holiday Houses Rental Service is in the process of building a new holiday house that sleeps eight guests in Blokhus – a popular holiday town with good shopping opportunities, specialty shops, bakery and cozy eateries. In the summer, the city buzzes with life and atmosphere, and becomes a natural gathering point for both locals and tourists.

The house will be advertised on AAU Update as soon as it is ready for rent.

Højensvej (Gl. Skagen)

Krøyers Apartments are located in a peaceful and gated area in charming Gl. Skagen, just a few minutes' walk from Solnedgangsplads and Skagen Klitplantage. With only 5 km to the city of Skagen, there is easy access to culture, shopping and gastronomy. The complex offers a range of communal facilities, including a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna – available free to residents. In addition, it is possible to use common rooms with a fireplace and kitchen for cozy gatherings.

The apartment can accommodate six overnight guests, and is 103sqm spread over two floors. In addition, the apartment also contains two terraces and a sitting area with a sofa and open fireplace.

In peak season, the apartment can be rented for one week for DKK 8000 and one night for DKK 1800.

Off-season, the apartment can be rented for one week for DKK 4000 and one night for DKK 1200.

Trelleborggade (København)

This stylish ground floor apartment is located in Copenhagen's popular Nordhavn, just 1.9 km from The Little Mermaid and 3.4 km from Kongens Nytorv. The area offers modern architecture, waterfront promenades and easy access to shopping and culture. Nordhavn Station with metro and S-train is a few minutes' walk from the apartment, and there are good parking options in nearby car parks and parking spaces.

The apartment can accommodate six overnight guests and consists of two bedrooms and a sofa bed, as well as use of a weekend bed with a junior duvet. The apartment has a small private terrace, as well as the right to use a shared roof terrace and courtyard.

The apartment can be rented for one week for DKK 5,500 and one night for DKK 1.000.

Conditions for renting holiday houses

To be able to rent a holiday house through AAU's Holiday Houses Rental Service, you must:

· have been employed at Aalborg University for at least one year

· have a working time of more than 15 hours per week
